How do you deal with false rape accusations?

In criminal proceedings in the US, you are innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof is on the prosecution.
If you're ever accused of something you didn't do it's a two step process and they are both equally important.

Say the magic words: "I'd like to invoke my right to remain silent. I'd like to speak to my attorney."
Shut up. Not one other word. If you're ever asked another question, repeat step 1 until you are actually talking to your own attorney.

Here's the most important part of the whole situation. Don't ever do anything that could even remotely be considered rape. If there is the slightest possibility that she's a day shy of 18, don't fucking do it. If she might be a little too drunk, don't fucking do it. If she's partying and doing drugs, don't fucking do it. If she's not in the mood, don't fucking do it.

They don't get resolved. Either the innocent guy goes to jail, or he doesn't. Either way, the liar gets a free pass.
