This article is like many others that try to give the impression that women are more likely to be victims of violence than men, while never actually saying it, because it's not true.

Fact one is: "Most women experience physical abuse in their lifetime." The word "abuse" makes people think of DV, but it's referring to any assault. So it's inflating DV victims, and by making it sound like DV, giving the impression that the same isn't even more true of men. Notice it says "most", when the number is 51.9%. In the same source it sats 66.4% of men are assaulted.

Fact two shows rates of victimization by an intimate partner for various crimes. But it can easily be mistaken for total victimization, and gives off the impression that women are way more victimized, when that's not true.

EDIT: Also look at this. I don't think they're after impartiality.

That whole article sounds like 100% bullshit. The biggest issue is that the same surveys her answers are based off, if they bothered to ask male victims at all, record worse rates of violence against men.

The only real fact about violence against women you need to know is that anyone going on about violence against women, but not caring about male victims, is a bigot.

Well I'd believe that 1 in 10 women with a head or spinal cord injury was due to assault(hell, I'd believe a higher percentage than 10%), but that's not the same thing, but also offers no perspective. How many men with such injuries were due to assault?
