I'd love to see the response to this, though I get the feeling that the chancellor will simply ignore the email.

Well the "good" feminists always distance themselves from the "radical" feminists so you know they don't agree with them and so you know not all feminists are like that. Often they repudiate them by starting funds for their legal defence (say if they shoot someone or get in trouble for blatant anti-male discrimination) or by lobbying for legislation based on their philosophy. So it's not surprising they'd also honor them in a lot of other ways to show how much they disagree with them.
