I was told this earlier by a woman who totally blindsided me with anger. I still don't even know what I did to trigger her.

After she said that I told her "I wasn't doing anything, you don't have to be a bitch?" she then said, "You should never talk to a lady like that." My response was, "and to answer your question, no. My father taught me respect. My father taught me to treat others as they treat you, regardless of gender." She had nothing to say after that and just stormed off giving me the bird.
