Being tall saved my life from depression

Was a late bloomer and didnt get taller until I was 18 in one big growth spurt, from 5'4 beginning of 2016 to 6'4 beginning of 2017. My dad died when i was 6 in a car accident that also took two of my uncles. My mother then widowed and a single parent ,she eventually offed herself in 2014 when I was only 16. Hardest part is that not a single person knew she was struggling not even me she just hid it so well. Basically in high school afterwards i was a loner. Nobody reached out or talked to me or even took an interest in getting to know my name. I just felt so alone. For some cruel reason my height was also mentioned during that time since I was 17 and 5'4. People called me freshmen, girls would "bully" me by making fighting comments, and even teachers would joke at my babyish looks to the entire class. And then everybody came back for senior year and I had already grown some inches. 4 months later i had so many people trying to get to know me but for absolutely nothing. I remember specifically sitting at lunch having that realization. People only treat me this way because they see me as normal now. That's so messed up i thought. Just cause I was shorter than most i was treated unequal. Eventually i met a girl and she saved my life. I was so depressed over being an orphan. But she saved me. I fully believe i would not have had all the opportunities bestowed upon me if i stayed 5'4,the difference in how people interacted with me was night and day.
