I’m sharing these here because I don’t want to create the opportunity for a thousand new guys to go shitting up one of my favorite websites, MyPostingCareer.com, with a bunch of gay shitposts. Out of 100,000 guys, it would only take a few herp derps to ruin it. It’s one of the few websites in the Hateosphere where you can find guys who actually sound like they leave the house on a regular basis, as opposed to the try hards and spergy wierdos who make “Neoreaction” look like a joke to the undecided. There’s some good ideas out there, but there’s also a lot of high falutin navel gazing. They’d be better off just calling themselves Paleocons and letting it go at that.
Ever since I found the manosphere a few years back, the whole “FEMINISM DID THIS!!” sentiment you find in Red Pill thought has always stuck in my craw. It’s too convenient; you can’t use it to explain a lot of the symptoms of modern decline without performing some serious mental gymnastics. And “The Cathedral” doesn’t really do much better as a scapegoat, because then you have too much focus on liberalism/progressivism. Left vs. Right is just a smokescreen; it keeps the plebes distracted, keeps them at odds with each other, and gives them a sense that they know how the world works. Power is the only thing that actually counts, everything else is just the emperor’s table scraps. You could say wealth and status are important too, but I consider wealth to be merely a physical manifestation of power, and status only matters as a way to gain access to the inner circles of the aristocracy. Wealth and status are tools in the toolbox, but power is its own reward.
We’re all here to learn the rules of the game being played in the REAL real world, the court of the 0.01 Percenters and their relatives and hangers-on. But it’s also useful to know the rules of the game we’re trying to leave behind, the one being played by the remainder of society, which means familiarizing ourselves with the forces that influence the lives of the majority. I think Pleasureman really has a much more realistic and satisfying take on the question of “how did we get here?” than pretty much anywhere else that talks about “The Decline.” Of course, some of us share Roissy’s philosophy of “I’ll be poolside,” but some guys out there just can’t accept a life of self interest and libertinism.
Pleasureman, the big cheese at MPC, is a pretty sharp guy, though he has the sort of “I’m the only grown up in the room” smugness you’d expect from an intelligent conservative. Like most non-celebrity real world conservatives, he holds to the idea that any man out of high school who even remotely cares about his place in the pecking order, is hopelessly immature. So what he has to say isn’t directly relevant to RP theory, but it still makes for an interesting read. Be forewarned: the website itself is like the Off Topic section of a paleoconservative news forum, full to the rafters of harsh talk and “intellectual racism.” Then again, there's probably at least a few of you who lurk there already.

These sentences, and everything you said before it, I agree with 100%. I have cycled through every political bent, and at the end, I am completely apolitical. Every side says some things I agree on, and other things that make me roll my eyes. However,
I respect the sentiment, but I disagree with it. The point of society, its reason for being, has never been to set people free. Society exists to serve two purposes:

This serves a secondary benificial purpose to them. Someone who figures out how to play by these "hidden" rules, shows himself worthy. Instead of molding the next generation of the chosen out of raw clay, the ones who rise have already reached a requisite level of natural development. Society serves as the "basic training," inclusion into the inner circles is the graduate school.
The most important resource the elites have is not money or land. It’s people, and their ability to use people as a resource. People are the resource that creates other resources; when they work together, they multiply their output, and the people at the top profit. But this creative power is a bad thing if it is not benefitting the elites. It’s the wrong kind of freedom. So the ruling classes invest even more controls to ensure that people “play by the rules.”
In modern terms, this is achieved through the globalization of corporate culture. Keep in mind that all of this is not an insidious conspiracy; it is merely an elegant and inevitable progression of the same game of power that’s existed for centuries. The feudal system never went away, it simply changed its wardrobe. With globalization, you get the best of all worlds: a massive increase in availability of resources and manpower, the weakening or elimination of barriers to expansion, and the strengthening of an artificial mass “community” that can be added to or altered at will. This artificial community consciousness, “modern Western popular culture,” is preferable to old school, traditionally moral, high trust community social codes, because those old school codes arise and evolve organically, through mass input on the basic level. This makes it hard to alter to your benefit, and it runs the risk of giving people more security and confidence than the minimum effective dose needed to have efficient but obedient and predictable subjects. Better to have a “standard of belonging” that can be reshaped by commercial means.
The decline is only a problem for the people who are unaware or simply unable to profit by it. There’s a common misconception that “Washington is broken,” that “Congress can’t get anything done.” That’s bullshit. Washington is very good at getting things done—for the people who matter, the members of the aristocracy. That’s what politicians exist to do; the little people are simply an afterthought. Thinking this is corrupt, wanting it to change, misses the point. This is what politics has always existed to do; if you miraculously “changed Washington” tomorrow, those politicians would be overthrown and replaced by politicians who knew how to play by the hidden rules. Liberalism, libertarianism, conservatism…none of these things matter. All that matters is the game of power. If we had no feminism, we’d still have some type of Blue Pill conditioning to serve the Feminine Imperative, because the Feminine Imperative exists to serve Power and those who possess it. The "failure" of modern society is actually a huge success; it's only a failure for the majority who don't get to taste the fruits of that success.
It’s all a game, it’s all a competition. It pays to be a winner, it’s servitude to be anything else. True freedom is the freedom of power, the freedom of a winner, and the responsibility that comes with it is to play the game. This is all just human nature. It’s oppressive to some, but that’s inevitable. It’s the pecking order, and it’s always there. You can gussy it up, but you’ll never be rid of it. You have to either learn to climb it, or stay where you’re at. But once you start climbing, you’re going to leave others behind. You can’t set people free unless they, too, have what it takes to climb.

Current society is a cancerous mess, covered in a thin layer of paint. Some people dig under the paint and, seeing what's there, they think, "well, it's bad, but surely there must be a way to fix it." But they're wrong. The whole thing is rotten beyond hope, and has been for hundreds of years.
To truly "win" in society requires selling your soul, to become a sociopath, which is like nihilism. But a nihilist wears black clothing and indulges in self destructive behavior. The people who are at the top, with few exceptions, will never admit to anyone that they believe in nothing.
Of course, believing in nothing is fairly irrational; surely there must be some sort of truth. And yet, to be nihilistic requires a person to believe there is no ultimate truth. The sociopath solves this conundrum by declaring themselves to be the ultimate truth.
Take what you know about "the way the world works". Then understand that this world is hopelessly corrupt, that there is no such thing as "karma" or justice in the world. Whenever you get caught up in your thought processes, thinking "surely there's some goodness inherent in the system," you will be confused. Instead, look at things in the most cynical light you can imagine. When you do that, you'll see your confusion melt away. The world is governed by the principle of amorality.
The whole thing sickens me.
