So me and my friends sometimes box. There is a small arena where we live and they host amateur boxing matches all the time. I'm pretty decent, which surprised me because i didn't have any fighting experience previously. My record is 8-0.

Well for my most recent match, I learned that I would be fighting a woman. There are no rules preventing women from fighting men but this was the first time it's happened since they started doing amateur matches. Well I was worried immediately. Not because I was afraid of losing, but I was afraid of looking like an asshole for beating a woman. I was also scared of hurting her.

I talked to my friends about it and they all kept pushing me to fight her. Even my parents were telling me to do it. I finally talked to the lady herself. I asked her how much experience she has and has she fought a man before. Apparently she's been boxing her whole life and decided that to go to the next level, she wanted to beat a man. She plans on pursuing a pro career.

Well the day of the fight came and a decent amount of people showed up. More than any of my other matches. I guess because the gender difference made it potentially more entertaining.

I knocked her out in the first round.... I got so many boos I ended up just walking out of the ring and into the locker room to dress. When I got home my friends were blowing me up saying things like, "Why did you knock her out?" "You didn't have to go that hard bro."

The news spread to school and I've been getting shit on by everyone. People calling me future wife beater and saying Chris Brown must be my favorite artist. I'm really thinking of switching schools or something it's getting to be too much.
