Considering the layers we are expected to wear, which often hide not just our stomach but also our arms and legs, and our chest, I'd say yes.

Some of us can't even wear shorts at work, who tf is showing their stomach at her workplace?

For one there isn't a rape culture. That whole idea makes ppl hate men.

And I don't agree that dress code should exist But it doesn't only affect women and girls it affects boys and men too.

I'm not saying people that say that "your body is a problem" don't exist but if you ask me it is waaaaay more common for men to be called disgusting slobs who need to lay off the beer or go to the gym than it is for women to be told things like that. The Body positivity movement made sure of that.

So yes i do think the dress code is oppresive but dont act like it only affects women. those are my thoughts.

It's far more acceptable for a woman to show her arms, legs, stomach and even cleavage than it is for a man to do so. At most places men showing their stomach would be unacceptable, and men rarely show shoulders. Many workplaces won't allow men to wear shorts, but women can wear skirts and dresses no questions asked.

Blaming every inconvenience on men and labelling it rape culture won't solve anything. Even a 15 year old should put more thoughts into their arguments.

"Men are never told that..." yeah maybe because men aren't societally allowed to wear a mini-skirt and a glittering top on high heels with stockings and a bitch's makeup, especially in school or in office, like you do. Or even a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. Did she ever see a businessman going to work in shorts? No one blames men for showing their skin because they don't show it in the first place. Depends on the dress code. When I was in school in late 90s our school dress code was fucking stupid & oppressive. Girls skirts would be perfectly acceptable length, zero danger of showing ass or twat but girls were sent home for it anyways. Guys could wear tanks but the girls couldn't, didn't make sense to me. The girls could wear skirts but boys couldn't wear kilts, again didn't make sense to me especially since kilts are well below acceptable length by code standards. Imo girls showing shoulders or little leg isn't going to send boys into a rapacious frenzy. Most boys know how to conduct themselves. Now if their ass or boobs are hanging out then yeah I get that, that's not appropriate. Honestly I think most school dress codes don't make sense & create double standards. If people are so concerned with dress code then just go to uniforms with pants or suits for everyone problem solved.

As for businesses as long as she isn't putting her boobs or ass on display or wearing something that's like a second skin then I see nothing wrong with women being sleeveless or off the shoulder. I think most women know & accept this. I think the ones that complain like this either knowingly wear something inappropriate just to cause a stir or are just looking to complain about something that literally no else has an issue with. Regardless both scenarios are just a cry for attention.

Men will be told about legs, arms and stomach if men don't wear full sleeves shirt and jeans/trousers. We understand the importance of dress code.

It's not about distracting teachers, it's about distracting other students. Why do boys in all boys schools perform better than boys in coed schools? Because yall are distracting and full of drama.
