Hi, so my child has a medical issue with a cyst, which I have been monitoring for the last four to five months. I reached out to her doctor about the cyst on her hand. From my perspective, it looks better now. I have been sending the doctor pictures from each month. It became quite inflamed in April due to stress and changes. I communicated the conversation with the Doctor to my ex. As well as she has access to the chart to review this.

The doctor provided us with three options, and my ex and I chose the third option, which is that the cyst may go away on its own, as per the primary care physician (PCP). We have started using hot compresses on the area.

At drop-off, my ex said she scheduled an appointment for our daughter tomorrow. However, she misled the doctor by claiming that she had been the one taking the pictures and was involved all along.

I have a specific doctor had in mind if we both agree to pursue further treatment. I plan to call the PCP later to see if they can send a referral to my doctor, especially if my ex disagrees and cancel any future appointments with the current doctor.

My other concern is that my ex might schedule the surgery during our vacation just to spite me.

Am I wrong for doing this?
