Late Sept. 2016, I checked myself in to a mental hospital here in town. During my stay, i was prescribed Klonapin. I had a very difficult time with this medication as abusing it was so easy, and I felt like i was still in control. After about 2 months, i realized that i didnt like who i was becoming. I told my wife that i thought i wanted to have an open, poly, relationship. I told her that i was falling in love with our friend Jen, and that i wasnt sure that i could ever be happy loving only 1 person for the rest of my life. I asked my Dr. to change my RX and got off the klonapin as it lead me to say these things that im not sure I truly believed. After about a month or so of being clean, and realizing the only person i wanted to be with was my wife, i thought that everything was good between my wife and I. About mid March, she told me that she felt stuck, like she wasnt where she wanted to be i life. She wanted out. I begged her not to go, promised that I would do whatever it took to make her happy. Since the beginning of our relationship, I told her that the only thing that i asked was for her to be honest with me. I found out in early May that she had been talking to a follower of hers on Tumblr, exchanging nudes, sexting back and forth. It broke my heart. I wasnt upset that she did it. What hurt was that she did it behind my back. In all honesty, had she said something about him, i probably would have been okay with it. I might have even wanted to set up a 3 way. But the fact was that she hid it from me, hid her feelings like they were unspeakable. When i confronted her about the messages, she asked me to move out. Told me that we were done, that she wanted a divorce, didnt want to try counseling, or any other form of remedy. I feel so broken, so used, but most of all, i feel betrayed. Im reaching out to you guys, to get your opinions.
