Hi all, I got divorced in one state, moved back to my home state to live with family, while ex took the kids to another state neither of us have ties to. So divorce finalized in the initial state we lived in with the kids and filed in, and they have been handling child support for about 4 years now.

Yesterday in the mail I got a letter from my state of residence saying a child support case was opened. I called their office and was told it looks like an enforcement order being requested from the state the divorce processed in and they had no further info but I could call the offices of that state to learn more. Called initial state's offices who said they aren't sure what's happening because I am and always have been paid current (I even have a positive balance).

Now I'm stuck waiting, and I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone or what's going on. My fear is obviously that the ex is requesting a review/increase or however that works, but even then I figure she'd have to go through the initial state/courts who handled the divorce. Anyways, any thoughts, stories, warnings, whatever, I'd love to hear
