So me and my wife have been together for 6 years now, dated for like 10 months then got married (COVID shit) and that may have been the mistake that caused all this maybe we/I should’ve given it more time before I asked her to marry me, I was young (24 at the time and she was 31) she has 2 kids prior to me from 2 separate people, the daughter of which lives with us and I’ve been her primary father figure since we met because her dad has very little contact with her, my wife and her son aren’t on the best terms and he’s rarely around. I moved to her city to continue to chase my dreams in the music industry and got out of another relationship and it was and I still believe it to be one of my best decisions, I met her when my life and career was on the up and up and everything seemed to just line up and make sense. Well since then the music industry has been eating me alive, when it’s bad it’s bad and when it’s good it’s not that good because I’m making up for how bad it was before. I realized I focused so much on music hoping it would all fall into place and effectively “save us” that I didn’t do the relationship work needed and with the up and down of music I couldn’t provide as much as she needed, desired and wanted. She doesn’t really want to work but she got a job and got pregnant and now we have a son of our own along with my step daughter. Within the last 2 months she has started working another job with her other job , at the same time to try and make up for my short comings and that has pushed her to the edge. I am the primary caregiver for our son and have been since his birth in 2023 during the day while she works and then I work on my career over night. Apparently over the last few months she has fully detached from our marriage and has nothing left and wants me to leave, it’s no arguing or emotion from her side as I feel she’s been taking the last few months to get over me on her own before asking me to leave. As of now we are effectively separated living in the same home and she’s very adamant about it being no hope but knows I have no where to go so she’s not pushing me out but letting me know she’s going to live her life and not pretend to be in love (we know what that means). I just need advice or anything anyone can give. I feel less than a man and I know in my heart all of this is my fault and if I would’ve gotten a “regular” job sooner maybe this would’ve had a better outcome.
