Thankfully you don’t have kids. Get through this and don’t Marry again. You’ve been given a second chance

Stop getting married focus on your kids. Rebuild and enjoy your life. Sounds easier than It is, but you’re a father now and your kids will need you to focus
/r/Divorce_Men22/07/26 10:05 AM
1

Blessing to be young with no kids. Easier to rebuild so you won’t see them posting much
/r/Divorce_Men13/07/26 10:02 AM
2

Exactly this is something I need to start building in my mid 30s
/r/Divorce_Men08/07/26 03:04 PM
3

Most men I see this happen to are lonely they would rather get married and divorce just to feel something
/r/Divorce_Men08/07/26 01:55 PM

He was so lucky could’ve ended badly if he was 20 years younger. He needs to focus on himself and realize he’s better off alone
/r/Divorce_Men08/07/26 01:55 PM

Exactly
/r/Divorce_Men08/07/26 01:54 PM

Thankfully her mental illness caused her to act to fast she should’ve waited longer to take your house. The signs were there hopefully you stay away from women 20 years your junior. Oh and change your locks and stop talking to her.
/r/Divorce_Men08/07/26 01:52 PM
2

Do It if you care about her. She can start all over and deserves someone that thinks she’s the one
/r/Divorce_Men06/07/26 04:19 AM
1

Could’ve been much worse. Could’ve been her child’s father and paid deadbeats family bills for decades. Be happy after this you’ll be living for yourself and she’ll be back to being with her deadbeat family. I predict you’ll do better in life
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/26 03:50 PM

He could’ve cheated but he walked away completely. Good for him
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/26 03:47 PM

Wow I hope you don’t have kids so you can never see her again but I’m glad you were strong enough to live
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/26 03:46 PM
1

No not stay in the marriage but don’t move away to the point you won’t physically be able to parent your kids
/r/Divorce_Men03/07/26 06:25 PM
4

Focus on yourself and kids don’t worry about dating. If you’re willing to leave your kids to better dating aspects you will end up divorced for a second time
/r/Divorce_Men03/07/26 03:34 PM

Let her go she’s an ex for a reason
/r/Divorce_Men03/07/26 10:39 AM

This is the way
/r/Divorce_Men03/07/26 10:14 AM

She wants your new assets. Continue to stay away
/r/Divorce_Men29/06/26 01:25 PM

Wow you should definitely divorce your wife. Your sisters personal actions have nothing to do with your family. They should’ve minded their business and she would’ve gotten a college fund. Now she will have to take out loans. She’s idiotic to believe she could sue for a fund she never funded. Your daughter will do well at any college. If she is Ivy League she would’ve gotten a full ride. If they didnt she can go to a great state school. Wish you the best. You did nothing wrong. Your wife did eve…
/r/Divorce_Men28/06/26 12:05 AM

Chances It will go over 183k since you make a million but business was after marriage so you should be safe

/r/Divorce_Men14/06/26 02:17 PM

/r/Divorce_Men11/06/26 05:34 AM

I’m sorry this happened to you but whatever you do Don’t get married again.
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 09:45 PM

They’re hopeless romantics
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/26 08:45 PM

It’s cheaper to never get married only way to avoid divorce
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/26 08:53 PM
2

Please focus on your ex an daughter. Your old home is now hers and you must respect that. If you don’t It will end badly for you. You have to let go and face the fact that your old life is no more and that you must focus on your new life
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/26 01:19 PM

Yeah take them to church but not for your wife

/r/Divorce_Men04/06/26 03:07 PM

1

Simps are still alive and well
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/26 03:06 PM
2

How long does alimony last. If you can get It reduced you should
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/26 03:05 PM
5

You are wise beyond your years. I stopped feeling by sorry for men who end up in financial servitude because the information was available. They had people tell them directly. It’s their own fault at this point. Just raise a glass and have fun at the wedding.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/26 06:51 PM
2

NY is 21 no matter what and NJ is 23 if in school. I’ve chosen to have no kids. Can’t lose if you don’t play
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 05:11 PM
2

You are sadly mistaken if she’s the custodial you will pay 17%
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 05:10 PM
2

Get more money the women will follow
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 04:53 PM
3

Exactly some states just take 17% of non custodial parent income and that’s with 50/50
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 04:44 PM
9

Child support. Does she make good income. If not child support is a good annuity for 20 years until she can jump to the next guy
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 04:37 PM
2

Do not disturb. And try staying at her place if they’ll stop by your house.
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 04:27 AM
2

If you’re paying child support. Ignore her
/r/Divorce_Men28/05/26 04:25 AM
5

Get a reversal
/r/Divorce_Men27/05/26 07:44 PM
3

You’d still have to pay child support so you’d still be tethered
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/26 08:25 PM
3

I’m glad you understand
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/26 08:24 PM
8

Split 50/50 sell house give her that then alimony. Don’t marry again you should be fine after that
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/26 07:02 PM
4

I’m so sorry please focus on yourself. Pay child support and don’t marry again
/r/Divorce_Men22/05/26 07:14 PM
7

If you respect yourself file if you don’t stay and let her cheat. Your choice.
/r/Divorce_Men16/05/26 08:27 PM
1

I’m not sure the child is born yet so she’s leaving now so the baby can be a Canadian. Since op isn’t on the birth certificate he can dodge her unless she comes back to USA and he wants a relationship with the kid
/r/Divorce_Men14/05/26 04:01 AM
3

You will pay child support if she comes back to USA so just save until then
/r/Divorce_Men14/05/26 03:59 AM
3

That is the answer
/r/Divorce_Men10/05/26 04:18 AM
2

If. No kids let her go and start over my friend if you do have kids still let her go but focus on kids
/r/Divorce_Men06/05/26 09:56 AM
3

No agreement is binding unless seen by a judge get proper paperwork and do It the correct way before you screw yourself
/r/Divorce_Men04/05/26 07:54 PM
1

I’m so sorry, maybe you can seek therapy for that because going through this again is not healthy for you if you do marry. Maybe just date long term that could be an option
/r/Divorce_Men01/05/26 05:27 PM
4

Sorry this happened to you. File and focus on your kids, also don’t marry again.
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 08:47 PM
1

This
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 03:45 PM
2

Exactly no reconciliation. You shouldn’t marry again btw. You have 2 kids focus on them.
/r/Divorce_Men30/04/26 03:44 PM
2

4X! Atleast you learned your lesson. Please continue to share your story so others may learn from It.
/r/Divorce_Men28/04/26 02:56 PM
1

Exactly.
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/26 01:49 PM
1

You a smart man. Too bad others aren’t as smart as you
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/26 01:49 PM
3

Please don’t marry again and focus on yourself. Divorce costs too much these days. They are simply looking for a retirement plan.
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/26 01:40 PM
3

Exactly or you can’t be mad what you get with It
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/26 01:32 PM
9

Thank you for the cautionary tale. Remember no wife happy life and after this don’t get married again. You’re in your 50s. Focus on yourself and your children.
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/26 01:26 PM
3

Yeah her loss. She’s a grown child. You’re lucky she pulled the plug because she could’ve waited over 10 years and really messed you up. Good thing is you still have about 20 good working years left. Focus on yourself and 8 year old. Don’t marry again. Dating ok but don’t marry. You should be ok
/r/Divorce_Men23/04/26 03:41 AM
1

Just be glad you have your own kid and won’t have to pay child support. Raise your kid and don’t marry again.
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/26 10:00 PM
7

Yeah you should be happy she’s divorcing you before kids. Don’t get married again. You being a provider works against you. Only the marital income of the 3 year marriage is able to be split so you still will keep your half just split what you made in 3 years. Again don’t get married again
/r/Divorce_Men14/04/26 09:47 PM
5

Please don’t marry again. I don’t know if you still have parents but try to stay with them until you build yourself back up
/r/Divorce_Men11/04/26 02:13 PM
2

Please don’t marry again
/r/Divorce_Men10/04/26 09:47 PM
2

Leave her yesterday
/r/Divorce_Men06/04/26 10:21 PM
14

I’m glad she showed you who she really is so you can take action
/r/Divorce_Men15/03/26 05:01 PM
1

The wife is friends with your ex that’s why this is happening. Had the wife not known your ex she would’ve had been the one to get that text
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/26 09:16 AM
3

Agreed. Let It go. Don’t go to events your ex will be at for your own sanity
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/26 09:12 AM
1

Thank you for the cautionary tale
/r/Divorce_Men13/03/26 04:08 AM
5

Vent all you want. You’ll recover let her go and live her life while you go live yours.
/r/Divorce_Men11/03/26 05:39 AM
1

Jump ship quick that’s a terrible place for divorce. 3 years you’ll survive but heed my words don’t marry again especially in Cali
/r/Divorce_Men23/02/26 11:53 PM
1

Prob low chance thankfully you have no kids. You can rebuild your life. Don’t ruin this chance you’ve been given. Don’t marry again or your next divorce will have paying everything you fear
/r/Divorce_Men23/02/26 11:52 PM
1

If he’s already watching his kid I guess. If his child support is 800$ then It evens out
/r/Divorce_Men22/02/26 04:39 PM
3

$100 she just using you
/r/Divorce_Men22/02/26 09:59 AM
3

Good! Imagine if you had a child instead of a dog. Consider yourself lucky and enjoy your life you are young.
/r/Divorce_Men17/02/26 02:57 PM
1

The sooner the better. Make sure she doesn’t pin child support on you for kids that aren’t yours. Get out quick! Thankfully It hasn’t been 10 years
/r/Divorce_Men15/02/26 03:24 PM
2

If you have to beg…
/r/Divorce_Men15/02/26 03:23 PM
8

I’m so sorry. Please take care of yourself and daughter and please do not get married for a third time
/r/Divorce_Men14/02/26 06:26 PM
1

Ah California that makes sense.
/r/Divorce_Men14/02/26 02:44 PM
1

How long were you married for It to be lifetime even if it’s 750$
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/26 10:16 PM
7

No one would give her that and you shouldn’t either. Let It go to trial. She’ll end up with less
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/26 10:12 PM
14

Do her a favor and divorce so she can be with someone who loves her. Pay child support and support her and your kid as much as you can
/r/Divorce_Men11/02/26 10:31 AM
3

Do It just know you will pay since you were a provider. You have time to rebuild your life
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 04:50 PM
11

You have found the solution to your problems. Be thankful you didn’t have kids
/r/Divorce_Men14/01/26 04:45 PM
7

Again? Once she leaves once don’t take her back she loses respect for you. End this and move on to your new and better life
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/26 03:58 PM
4

File yesterday
/r/Divorce_Men05/01/26 02:54 PM
8

Be glad It was short and no children. You have no idea how lucky you are
/r/Divorce_Men03/01/26 10:10 PM
7

You do quite well to pay that much in alimony
/r/Divorce_Men03/01/26 03:16 PM
1

Sell house she will have to move
/r/Divorce_Men03/01/26 03:14 PM
2

I’m happy for you stay happy. You’re lucky you’re happy with a woman. A man happy being single is taboo
/r/Divorce_Men02/01/26 01:00 PM
3

Do you have any kids? If not you can move on. If you are only able to live just because of a woman do not get married again. Live for yourself
/r/Divorce_Men01/01/26 02:01 AM
2

200 for 2 children leave It alone because that’s not even enough for 1
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 10:00 PM
1

Please don’t marry again
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 07:52 PM
3

That’s why you don’t get married.
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 05:35 AM
3

Exactly. They are still not getting It
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 05:28 AM
1

I am so sorry. Thank you for this cautionary tale
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 05:18 AM
1

It will happen eventually you’re just delaying the inevitable.
/r/Divorce_Men30/12/25 05:13 AM
8

A lot of white men fall for this Disney fairytale. Good thing is they are waking up. Whit men are the most sought out men in USA. Once they wake up fully things will change for the better, but if people continue to believe in sweat equity nothing will change
/r/Divorce_Men29/12/25 09:22 PM
2

You’re not. Proud of you. Focus on your kids don’t marry again
/r/Divorce_Men29/12/25 08:42 AM
2

You’re blessed you already have 4 kids you do not need anymore
/r/Divorce_Men28/12/25 05:22 PM
31

She left because she wanted a life without you but wanted you to finance It. The do It on her own excuse is just what she tells the public. If someone could get 48k tax free for doing nothing alot of people would take that opportunity. Don’t marry again and thank you for this cautionary tale
/r/Divorce_Men28/12/25 05:00 PM
6

Not for you but for the people who have not married the only way to be safe from alimony is to not get married or have a very short one
/r/Divorce_Men26/12/25 04:23 PM
5

Terrible
/r/Divorce_Men21/12/25 07:34 AM
1

Most of the time custody goes to the mother even if she’s unfit. If you have money to afford a nanny and the mother is broke they tell you to pay more child support so that the houses can be equal
/r/Divorce_Men20/12/25 04:46 PM
3

Good. Marriage is still too risky. 2030 45% of women will be childless and single. Most will need a job
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/25 09:53 PM
3

If you don’t get married there’s no marital income. Only child support
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/25 09:52 PM
3

You will recover. Thankfully your younger kids are in high school
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/25 05:15 PM
8

This is why women are requiring men to be providers. Can’t get alimony without being a sahm. But you can’t get anything except child support without marriage.
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/25 05:12 PM
9

A lot of husbands especially white men are getting taken advantage of. White men are the last man standing once they walk away everything will change
/r/Divorce_Men14/12/25 12:18 AM
1

Happy for you
/r/Divorce_Men08/12/25 01:02 PM
8

Correct. The longer you wait…
/r/Divorce_Men04/12/25 02:52 AM
6

She could give up retirement and own your portion of the house. Leave the kids there get an apartment
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/25 04:26 PM
1

Never wait
/r/Divorce_Men22/11/25 09:49 PM
7

Cut her loose it’s only going to get worse. You deserve better she deserves to sleep in her childhood bedroom. If she starts giving you more sex don’t fall for It. You will be baby trapped.
/r/Divorce_Men20/11/25 09:39 PM
9

Seek help next strike might land you in jail and the judge won’t care that you’re divorcing especially if you’re not getting cleaned out. Count your blessings and learn to love and enjoy yourself. Do not run into another relationship.
/r/Divorce_Men19/11/25 11:53 AM
15

You are lucky you are only 38 and have no kids. Run and don’t marry again. You’ve been in a relationship since you were 20. You deserve time dedicated to yourself.
/r/Divorce_Men15/11/25 10:32 AM
4

I’m happy for you but please never marry again!
/r/Divorce_Men10/11/25 11:55 PM
3

Thank you for sharing your story. You’ve helped men who are wise and can learn from others. Sadly there will be some men that won’t learn. You weren’t the first and won’t be the last.
/r/Divorce_Men28/10/25 01:38 PM
1

The longer you wait the more It will cost baby is already here just have enough for child support. Split 205k down the middle.
/r/Divorce_Men27/10/25 05:56 PM
1

Once he files you will have a better understanding on what to do
/r/Divorce_Men26/10/25 11:18 AM
5

Women usually left the situation long before they actual separate. Try to focus on yourself and not marry to soon or again. Now you’ll be able to do whatever you like. Your kids are teenagers so child support won’t be long.
/r/Divorce_Men24/10/25 10:12 AM
1

If it’s on the mothers plan and she doesn’t want you to have access then there’s nothing you can do. It would be different if you paid for the phone and plan. If the mother has full custody then you really don’t have a shot at getting the passcode
/r/Divorce_Men20/10/25 08:47 PM
2

Too late
/r/Divorce_Men18/10/25 06:58 PM
3

Inheritance can’t be a divorced asset but you made It into marital asset. With 6 million in shocked you don’t have a financial advisor. You’ll learn now but half of 6 million is 3 so you’ll be ok. Just an important lesson
/r/Divorce_Men14/10/25 08:30 PM
5

You are very lucky
/r/Divorce_Men09/10/25 12:14 AM
25

You also lucked out by divorcing her. Hopefully the herpes is under control. Good luck
/r/Divorce_Men08/10/25 11:41 PM
12

Don’t celebrate too early until it’s in writing
/r/Divorce_Men06/10/25 09:59 AM
3

Never heard of this thank you
/r/Divorce_Men05/10/25 01:39 AM
6

It’s 2025 shouldn’t have too unless you want to get robbed
/r/Divorce_Men05/10/25 01:38 AM
3

Congrats
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/25 06:05 PM
2

Smart man
/r/Divorce_Men30/09/25 02:22 PM
7

Mental illness leave asap. The longer you stay the worse the divorce hit will be and trust me It will happen
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/25 10:55 AM
3

Exactly the cheapest route would’ve never to have been married or divorce early on especially with no kids for him at year 2-3 before his son was conceived
/r/Divorce_Men28/09/25 02:04 AM
1

No kids you’ll recover fast
/r/Divorce_Men24/09/25 11:04 PM
3

It’s ok it’s now her money. She raised the kids while you worked. Atleast she isn’t spending It on Botox filler or plastic surgery. And even if she was it’s her money. Don’t marry again. Focus on you and the kids
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/25 04:54 PM
3

Stay separated be on your best behavior
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/25 03:33 PM
8

Never get married! This can all be avoided and instead of divorce it’s just a break up. Please pass on to the next man. Thank you for sharing. This will help the next generation.
/r/Divorce_Men20/09/25 03:33 PM
3

Just leave it’s over. No hope. You’ll only hurt yourself even more
/r/Divorce_Men18/09/25 10:32 AM
1

Exactly their mother has a 3 hr a day min wage job. They will get financial aid
/r/Divorce_Men11/09/25 04:48 AM
1

The grandparents can pay for the kids tuition cell phone and insurance…
/r/Divorce_Men11/09/25 04:46 AM
2

Atleast you’ll keep the house. Build your life back up and live for yourself not for others.
/r/Divorce_Men11/09/25 04:07 AM
3

Who is they
/r/Divorce_Men11/09/25 02:14 AM
5

Thank you for the cautionary tale. It’s stories like yours that woke men up and denied these con artists their retirement plan. Don’t get married again
/r/Divorce_Men02/09/25 04:53 AM
1

That too
/r/Divorce_Men01/09/25 05:51 PM

Guys never get married! Prenups or any documentation aren’t bonded by law. Any judge can make them irrelevant. Child support and custody can only be established by the system because they get a kick back. You’ve been warned

/r/Divorce_Men30/06/25 03:29 AM

Of course she doesn’t want lawyers involved. Don’t get a job stay the primary care giver until your kids go to school. If she kicks you out divorce and go 50/50 nothing less. She plans on leaving you. She’s already spoken to a lawyer and got the bad news. She will lose. That’s why she doesn’t want lawyers involved. To lessen the blow she needs you to get a job so she can say you’re not the primary care taker and she won’t give you alimony. Your divorce isn’t if it’s when. Thank goodness you came…
/r/Divorce_Men29/06/25 06:49 AM

With this my hope Is the govt contract of marriage ends and men being providers also end. Now you need dual incomes so even if you divorce it’s still 50/50. Make a joint bank account and make sure she puts half so when you split assets it’s really 5o/5o. But the most sound advice I can give is don’t get married and you won’t ever have to go through divorce.
/r/Divorce_Men04/06/25 05:49 PM

/r/Divorce_Men23/05/25 01:38 AM

She makes 180k and you pay all the bills? If you make 250k I’ll understand a little. If you make less. You NEED to leave her. She’s already left you, just not physically. At least you won’t pay alimony.
/r/Divorce_Men15/04/25 07:15 PM

Get 5o/50 custody is the best he can get he needs the law to keep her in check
/r/Divorce_Men15/03/25 09:13 PM

Don’t get married again. Especially when you have a pension. She’s not yours it’s just your turn. The reason she didn’t care about finance is because they have retirement plans by divorcing husbands. She will stay with her current husband until he’s ripe for divorce. The escorts will be used as an excuse when the time is right. Don’t be a woman’s retirement plan.
/r/Divorce_Men13/03/25 05:17 PM

Only 8 years of child support. She provided a home for you so at least you didn’t lose your home. She was truly a 50/50 partner. Believe It or not this is better than what most have
/r/Divorce_Men01/03/25 09:07 PM

Since you just lost your job maybe. But she probably won’t pay you alimony either. What does she do that allows her to make 100k part time I’m curious
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 05:08 PM

Child support
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 05:06 PM

How much is cs when you make 3x her pay. Are you a high earner or does she make like 30k and you make 90k
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:37 PM
1

Impossible
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:34 PM

It’s not as bad as he claims. You’re in a short marriage he won’t have alimony maybe a year tops. He’s only 31 any asset he has to split will be recoverable
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:33 PM
3

It’s better this way. Some people have 494k and have to split that. You can recover. You also won’t have to pay alimony. Child support is all you’ll have to do. It’s for your kids so it’s not bad.
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:32 PM
2

You will lose half no way about It. You will suffer a lot in the beginning but will get better. Youre kids are young so child support will be part of your life for at least a decade and a half. Good news is you’re in Texas so they are fair at least. Also you have a short marriage so no alimony. Never get married again and don’t have anymore kids. Try your best to be in your kids life as you won’t have anymore. At 46 you should be back on your feet with 2 kids in college and your life back on tra…
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:30 PM

Good! Thankfully your child is 15 so 3 more years of cs. Sell the house take half and use It on cs. Start over and Never marry or have kids again. You have 1 kid please take care of that child and remember what sacrifice you made for that child when dealing with other women.
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:27 PM

She’ll have to pay you out from the house if it’s paid off save that and use It for child support
/r/Divorce_Men27/02/25 04:06 PM

Do It and don’t marry again. Damage will be minimal. You got lucky

/r/Divorce_Men21/02/25 10:59 AM

They are making It fair since future generations are forgoing marriage and work therefore bankrupting the system in the future. Gravy train almost over. Women who don’t work will only be able to get knocked up with men who are equally as broke. Negating child support. Simps will be in high demand. Make sure you’re not one
/r/Divorce_Men20/02/25 08:52 PM

It would be dumb to become her landlord. She will have to sell. Get your half and leave

/r/Divorce_Men11/02/25 05:17 AM

Marriage was already over bud. Leave now while you’re young. Casually throwing divorce around over pics is just the beginning. Don’t let child support and alimony ruin you.

Doesn’t matter divorce is 50/50 so many wives put nothing into a home and don’t pay the mortgage and still receive 50% equity. If you are married you get 50%. Get a lawyer asap because you don’t have a grasp on what’s going on. Use credit cards. The 50% equity will pay It off once the house is sold. The lawyer knows this.
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 03:14 PM

Idk about appealing but it’s only until divorce is finished you definitely want to go back and let them know she’s delaying on purpose. Once divorce is finalized It looks like alimony would be terminated

That’s ridiculous. Have your lawyer handle that especially since she won’t sign papers. Don’t marry again

Alimony is already set in stone I have no idea when it’s suppose to end but your child support is amazing. Don’t ruin a good thing. You have 3 years left and then you’re done

Get a new lawyer
/r/Divorce_Men06/01/25 12:08 PM

If she has 10 years to live you will get kids eventually and with a record I doubt she will get full custody. I wish you the best

After refusing disability and having you work 100 hours a week should’ve been the red flag right there. Divorce would’ve been easier without a mortgage. She would’ve had to move into her mothers house

You found the answer. Enjoy life on your own terms.
/r/Divorce_Men05/01/25 11:20 PM

Remember this feeling every time you think it’s a good idea to marry again. Answer is don’t. Enjoy single life and your peace. Date but never cohabitate or marry again. Focus on your child

I don’t know the stage of the cancer but maybe stay until after her mother passes and if she also has stage 4 you could support her until she passes
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/24 05:08 PM

Exactly. New era. People are enjoying their own company. If you already have kids enjoy friendships and your relationship with your kids.

If your unhappy leave. You’ll split assets but your piece is worth It. Thankfully your kids are grown and grew up with you around. Go chase happiness. Women divorce for less. Sorry I never was married so can’t answer your questions.

How did the divorce go financially any alimony?
/r/Divorce_Men18/12/24 04:42 AM

Sounds good but don’t stay in spare room have them stay over your house if ex is out partying and they can’t be left alone. Although 14 year old may be old enough to watch 11 year old

I hope he stays over seas. People here are trying to convince him to stay with his wife who baby trapped him. He’s ok in my book paying support. I know many people would divorce and not even pay support if they knew they werent coming back to the country
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 06:57 PM

Exactly people here telling him to go back to her don’t realize they will divorce and she will keep the child away from him regardless. He’s fine with that and will pay supoort

The kid can come see him at 18. She created this situation and he will support It financially. With divorce the mother can move on with her life and find another man

You got baby trapped. Live your life divorce her and pay child support over seas
/r/Divorce_Men16/12/24 06:52 PM

If you divorce her and pay child support you are not an ah. Women leave because they fall out of love all the time. At least you support your kid. Do It just make sure this is what you want. If you don’t plan on coming back. Give her the decency of divorce so she can move on

You’ll be able to sell she did not uphold her part of the agreement. If you didnt want her to have the house you should’ve sold It in the agreement . But here we are. At the end of the day she will have to sell because she can’t buy you out. Luckily the market is still good to sell.
/r/Divorce_Men14/12/24 05:19 AM

You don’t have to be alone. Just don’t marry. Even out the country many will live with you just because you can put a roof over their head.

Sell marital home get 50% use that money to pay 369 a month for 18 years.
/r/Divorce_Men12/12/24 01:39 PM

Don’t agree to that. If she makes 4x as much make sure you get 50% if everything. She can afford to buy you out of the house. Go to trial. Clearly mediation isn’t working.

I’m so sorry. Millennials are going through It. We were raised by gen x to stay committed, but the new world and laws pretty much make marriage obsolete. This is why I’m happy the new generation is learning from the mistakes of the generation before. Get a lawyer and don’t go easy on her. She’s not the person you married. Ps don’t get married again.

Men have got to reach out and help other men. This won’t stop until simps are eradicated. Learn from this and help other men. Just sharing your story helps so many. This is why they hate mgtow. You’re not the only one going through this. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you recover and don’t go through this again. A lot of men get remarried thinking this time will be different but It rarely is. Take that last sentence for what it’s worth.

Worth It for no alimony BUT if he didn’t get married he would’ve kept his house if she wasn’t on the deed living in a no community state and just have to pay child support. Hence why men aren’t marrying and if women don’t want to get married because of this then they will remain unmarried which is the point the men are making. In 2030 45% will be single and childless. Men won’t fold women will. Marriage will be obsolete. Women will fold and settle for working 50/50. Which is good. If they had th…

Please don’t get married men. Use this guys story as a cautionary tale. If you want kids get a surrogate it’s less expensive than child support. Trust me you spend way more in a marriage with kids than being a single father through surrogacy
/r/Divorce_Men24/11/24 11:20 PM

Yeah you have to divorce her. Thankfully you found out sooner than later. Men aren’t marrying en mass because of stuff like this. How do you quit your job once you’re married and you don’t even have kids. You almost became a simp retirement plan. Glad you realized this before alimony and child support came into the picture and you became a debt slave.

Congratulations! Sorry that you had to go through that just to be a present father. Gen z is already preparing for a future without marriage and many are foregoing children. This will be necessary for courts to take a look at how family court is run.
/r/Divorce_Men15/11/24 12:29 PM

It’s a shame. This is why most don’t respect their husbands. It seems like a lot weak minded men will be the majority getting married in the future because they probably can’t survive without their spouse

You are foolish to think she will stay sober. It’s more than drinking she’s also fiscally irresponsible. Cut your losses and continue to grow and be the best father you can be sober.

It’s 21 not finish college. Your ex will have to move back with her elderly parents. Don’t feel bad. Your daughters will have jobs with their degrees and get married. You are no longer responsible for their mother’s well being. The woman you are responsible for is living with you right now. Think about her.

Cautionary tale. Because of your experience a lot of people are waking up that actual marriage is a scam. Thank you for sharing your story. Quick tip don’t do It again. Get married in a church but don’t sign documents with the government.

You’re getting played. Once she says she doesn’t love you anymore you have to leave. Staying only makes It harder on you. Love yourself and choose you for once. Your future self will thank you.
