It’s only 50k/year difference so yea that makes sense, generally it’s about 7% of the income difference so $3500/ye which is 290/month. You can be bitter about the divorce but cs is just math and it sounds like you’re getting 50/50’which is a win

If it helps you feel better. My ex and I were always 50/50 on income. Almost exact to the dollar each year. Yet I pay $800/month in child support.

Now that she's also remarried she has her income, her husband's income, plus 1/3 of my income. Their looking at half mil homes on acreage. While I barley survive in a 900 sqft home in the city. My kids don't even have their own bedrooms at my house.

Why do you need child support? If she makes more than you, you're already entitled to assets you wouldn't have earned without her. If you were in my state, you'd also probably be eligible for alimony. Focus on getting your income up, not on how you can shake somebody else down for more money.

Sorry, I'm just bitter because my wife cheated on me for 10 years, only worked for a couple years while we were married (including staying home before kids and after they were both in school), yet she's able to sue me for more spousal and child support than she's ever made at any job, and will walk away with a net worth close to a million dollars. This is with 50% custody.

Spousal support is disgusting and child support should be limited term and only in extreme circumstances.

Sorry about that pain, man. Don't trust her if she suddenly changes her mind and turns her life around once she has regrets. It won't last. She's already blown it. She was probably cheating, that seems to be a common theme behind any wife coming out of nowhere saying they're done. If you're in an at-fault state, collect evidence of her cheating. Confront any people it points to in person and see if they'll come clean. That's how I finally got closure. Don't fight anybody though.
