I left a settlement offer on the counter yesterday before I left for work. She took it but so far I have not gotten any response. Trial is next month. I’m starting with my second lowest offer and will up the anti in the next couple of weeks if she doesn’t respond then if still no response I plan on:

Two days before trial giving her the full deal with the highest offer including the buy out of the house which as in my previous post she failed to take check for her equity which I presented in court after getting remortgage and following the woman judges advice of buy her out get her out and judge flipping on that we had no agreement only that it was mentioned it is the wife’s intention in her pretrial memo that I would buy her out. She is still acting like everything is normal excessive OCD of cleaning the house and doing all the yard work which she pretty much took over entirely on her own after she was served divorce papers. I now only do the weed whacking.

My main concern is getting the house as I have all the documents proving I bought it entirely with premarital assets two years before I was married of my own including me alone signing for down payment and having my name in deed only. She was only added about 5 years after that. I have always paid for mortgage and taxes etc. She also admits in her deposition yes he did it to every project that was mentioned that I ever did and paid for on the house. My divorce support group thinks I have a good chance of having it awarded to me. My STBX states in her deposition that she wants to retain the marital home.

Don’t see how the judge will allow that if she quit her job two years ago because she was so stressed out and says I forced her to quit. She admits in her deposition how she was overly worked and couldn’t handle it anymore. Yes I said you can quit and not to worry as we can live on my salary so she took it to heart and reneged on helping out with household expenses with her monthly annuity payment shortly after she quit and refused to pay two bills that were and still are in her name claiming I make more money than she does.

Anyone else have experience with keeping their home and how did it go? I’m interested to know before I go to trial.
