currently living with family after living in my car for a few freezing nights. kids aren't allowed so I don't get to see them much.

I just got a job so I'm saving as much as I can and will soon be renting. here's the question: with one son and one daughter, should I get a one bedroom where my daughter takes my room when they are over and my son and I crash in the living room or do something similar in a bachelor/studio? rent is ridiculous everywhere and sometimes the two accommodations don't differ much in price. how would the court (in family court presently and it's a high conflict divorce) see any of these living arrangements or does it even matter.
