Long story short, I've fallen out of love with my wife. My career choice involves me working around woman a lot. This has caused strain on our marriage due to me cheating in the past. The trust is not there, and I do not blame her. The reason for my divorce is for both of us to have fresh start. I'm just starting my career out and she's an established accountant. She deserves someone better.

My worry is this is my first time going through this, so I'm not sure what to do in order to prepare for the entire process. We have 2 kids together, a mortgage, car payments, and other debt. I'm not worried about the money, I just want out of the marriage. I'm concerned about my kids and my family. To everyone we look like a happy couple, but it's all fake. My family loves her.

How were some of the ways you guys prepared for the process to start and how did you handle telling your kids/family?
