Marriage of seven years is over. Been together for 11. Two amazing kids. Tried counselling but didn’t work out. She’d been messaging an old flame and I found out.
Bought a house 8 years ago using a deposit I saved for and I’ve earned a large wage through our relationship (she has contributed to bills etc)
We’ll have to sell the house and I’m selfish apparently because I’d like some equity to be able to buy a small three bed for when I have the kids. Apparently she should have 100% equity. I’ve already said I only will take enough for a deposit and she can have the rest (which will likely be £50,000 plus).
I’ve tried to point out it’d be better for the kids to have two stable homes.
Relationship breakdowns really bring out the worst in people.
Uk based.

Take half the equity, it's what you entitled to without extenuating circumstances. Why are you sacrificing for her?
