You're irrational if you think your wife is spending hours each day looking for your story. Just like you aren't looking for her posts.

You can negotiate paying her a lump sum now instead of paying her indefinitely. If you do a lump sum, you'll pay her at a discount -- around 60% of what you would pay her over time. The advantage of paying her a lump sum means spousal support is set to $0 in your decree. And she can't come back later to increase it. Psychologically, it's a huge relief knowing you aren't going to be financially shackled to her eternally.

Without a lump sum payment to her, you have to work closely with your attorney. During my discovery phase, one of the items requested were retirement plan documents. I had several years of annual financial checkups where I outlined our plan to retirement, including at what age we quit our jobs, take social security, etc. If you don't have anything like that to share with your attorney, then you'll have to look through case law to see how WI deals with it. You can search scholar.google.com for all the WI case law around divorce and retirement. I recommend doing that first before your attorney bills you for an hour educating you on basics you can look up yourself.
