Trying to temper my expectations here because so far with possession there were wild differences between what I read, heard, and then reality.

Looking for small business owners who have gone through it in Texas. I have educated myself and believe that my business would be considered 100% personal goodwill. It is for now just me and my business partner. We are basically subject matter experts in a very, VERY niche area of personal injury law administration.

My previous business was the same basically except grew exponentially to 50+ employees and an acquisition. We aren't close to that yet. But my stbx witnessed that and I have no doubt thinks she's due a huge payout or expects to own 25% of my business going forward.

Anyone have experience with a similar situation? My very expensive lawyer assures me that it's all personal goodwill and therefore stbx will get nothing. I have my doubts on the reality.

Would love to hear from anyone who has been through it on expectations, tactics, etc.

Thanks y'all.
