My wife (35F) and I (30M) have been married for 4.5yrs in UK. We’re at a bit of a cross roads and I’m trying to see what path a divorce would take us down - we’ve built a good life and I’m aware that a divorce would tear that down.

We have no kids and only 1 asset - our house! It’s worth about £500k and we’re both on the deeds. We also have a £175k mortgage on the house which is in my name only. Part of that £175k mortgage is from when I spent £45k refurbishing the house which has helped drive up its value

In a divorce scenario where we sold the house, how would the money from the sale be split??
