Note: I initially posted this in r/leftwingmaleadvocates but they removed the post claim it was unrelated to men's issues even though there was a post that wasn't directly related to men's issues already up and approved. They gave no explanation.

As people in an unpopular position, at least in main stream media, we are held to higher standards when I comes to backing up our statements. Without academia we'd have a much harder time convincing people of our points( we have a hard time with academia already).

Something I always think about when I'm reading so called anti-feminist or women research (any research that paints women in a negative light without explicitly blaming men) that there has always been a very significant presence of women working on these "anti-women" papers which makes sense considering the fields relevant to our communities.

I have a feeling that at some point this will become quite apparent to both parties and I worry that feminist group will begin to attack these women and discourage any research that could paint a woman in a bad light.

unFortunately, most people prefer to use academic research for quick gotchas in online debates and don't read them.
