If men and women got judged by the same objective criteria with no regards to sex/gender then women would start putting up much more numbers on these stats than they do now.

I was in a discussion on another sub a few months ago about IPV (intimate partner violence) and the men there said themselves that women's IPV perpetrated towards men had to reach a certain threshold of damage before they would even count it as "IPV". Don't even get me started on the studies that show women commit more one sided IPV than men and other studies that show women commit at near similar rates.

There was a post within the last month that outlined how in the UK their rape laws couldn't even account for male victims forced to penetrate. It wasn't account for in their rape law and thus those numbers went unaccounted for.

In regards to "cat calling" the academics have this to say

Study one investigated which elements of the situation (context) might be most influential in increasing fear and enjoyment of the catcalling experience. Attractiveness and age of the perpetrator, time of day, and whether the victim was alone or with friends were some of the categories that were selected as influencing both fear and enjoyment. Results mirror the sexual harassment literature and suggest that harassment by younger and attractive men is viewed as less harassing.

In other words, there is no set line in the sand for this stuff. It depends how attractive you are.

TL;DR if men and women were held to a same objective standard women would experience more consequences than they would anticipate.

Ironically, if misandrinists didn't work so hard at dismissing violence against men, the numbers would be nearly equal based on more recent studies.

Its been proven that men and women are the victims of domestic and/or sexual violence almost equally... and when men are violated 90% of the time its by a woman.

But women are the ones who keep dismissing violence against men and saying it doesn't exist, because it doesn't suit their misandrinist rhetoric that men are the perpetrators and women are the victims.

The times they're not believed, it's usually because they're spewing misandrinist rhetoric claiming women are the overwhelming majority of abuse victims, when multiple independent, peer reviewed and unbiased studies have disproven that. Perhaps more people would believe them if they didn't couple every story about an abuse victim to why men as an entire gender suck.

52% of domestic violence is perpetrated by women.

51% of college men report being sexually assaulted or raped since the age of 16. 95% by women.

A world wide survey that found that 3% of men reported forced sex in their heterosexual relationships and 2.3% of women reported forced sex in their heterosexual relationships.

43% of college men and highschool youth report being sexually assaulted or raped. 95% by women.

When these misandrinists post their rhetoric, they never post reputable sources... I wonder why.
