So, I've been incel'd for maybe 2-3 years. It started sophomore year of high school, everyone got cars (including my gf) and I didn't. So I slowly began removing myself from friends, because I felt like a burden being picked up. I would just walk home alone and hate everyone driving passed me.
I remember having a really nice friend group though. And a nice girlfriend. And I remember how life seemed so right and so easy and everything felt natural. But it's insane how I forgot about all of that and my life took an entire 180.
I caught a glimpse of hope maybe 1.5 years ago. I had been staring at a girl walking past me in the hallway for weeks admiring her beauty. I thought she was seriously one of the prettiest girls at my school. Somehow, one day, I mustered up the courage to approach her.
She smiled at me and then ran away REALLY fast. I kind of lol'd, and I was kind of heartbroken but then her friend told me she was just nervous. I approached her again and she thought I was cute and liked me and gave one of my friends her number to give to me. I was in so much bliss.... But my incel-insecurities tugged at me...... I didn't think I could make it work without a car. The next day, I didn't go down that hallway, but my friend did. He said he saw her and she was wearing a lot of makeup and looking hot (for his standards), he said when she didn't see me she got really sad.
This was the turning point. This is where it went wrong. I didn't think I was capable of offering that girl anything because I didn't have a car. I thought "I'm just setting myself up for heartbreak" so nothing ever came out of it. This is where my mind went from temporary incel to permanent one.
What you have to understand is, that everyone wants company. Everyone. We are all alone out here in the world. And not everyone is a popular person or a Chad or a whore. What if I were to tell you that those people don't even exist? Yes they exist, but they're more than just that, they're actually real people.
I think inceldom/trp has a really interesting effect on people. There's nothing more dangerous than an idea. You really start believing the stuff and your whole world becomes polarized. 3-4 years ago when I heard dudes talking about feminism ruining the west I would legitimately laugh, and then I started to somewhat believe it.
Look, there is no monolith known as "girls." Every girl is different, just like every guy. Some guys are into reading, some are into movies, some are into artisan bullshit like straight shaving, whatever.
What you need to do to fully recover, is go outside. Take walks. Grab some fresh air. Look at how the world around you actually works. The majority of people are happy, well, at least happier than you are, and it's not because they are 10/10 facial aesthetic and ripped or because they're taller than you or because they are Chads. People are just people. Did you really think that in the entire WORLD everyone is exclusive and EVERYONE is out to get you and make you miserable? No, the majority of people are happy human beings living their lives.
You have been consumed by half-truths. Because you heard that a girl had sex with 3 guys at a party one time, when someone made a post saying that girls have sex 22 times before they're 18 or whatever, you actually believe it, because your mind likes finding patterns, and it goes "hmm.. that sounds about right." You actually believe that "beta bucks and alpha fucks" is a thing that exists, and is standard for EVERY girl in existence? It's no surprise that most of the dudes on Sluthate/TRP/Lookism are also Alt-Right types, who believe in the same half-truths of fucking InfoWars.
The toughest pill to swallow is that your mind and hormones are playing tricks on you. That the world you've devolved yourself in for the past few years isn't real, it's just an illusion. You were grasping for some sense of belonging, some hypothesis to explain it all to you and dumb it down, and explain why you were miserable or failing with women.
Now you're probably wondering, well, where's the advice? Really, go outside and see breathe fresh air? No, my advice to you is to get rejected. Yep, the same bullshit you heard over at /trp/. Only this time, get rejected from friend groups, get rejected from social settings, approach groups of friends and ask them to go eat with them. Go to social clubs and be weird and awkward as fuck and see what happens. Eventually, something will click, and like a normal human, you will re-enter the social world on autopilot.
I was walking in the hallway with a package and some dude and his friends (with girls, btw, no sausage fest) asked me if I wanted to eat with them. I lol'd and said hey yeah wtf why not and I made a few semi-friends that day (and still developing).
You're not weird, you're not ugly, you're not dumb, you're not aspie. Remember, most people out there have insecurities just like you and they're also afraid of loneliness JUST like you.
It's really just insane to me how different the world is when you start trying vs when you just reject the whole world and view it in the most negative and worst light possible.
