Group think is addictive. It gives meaning and justification to our suffering. The problem is, it usually offsets the blame for the pain we feel to some external entity like "women," "blue pilled thinking," or even "society" while failing to recognize that life is just messy and shit happens.

Perhaps the most intoxicating thing about group think is that it contains nuggets of truth in its dogma---such as men experience "x,y, and z" more than women, or society has "x, y, and z" problems. The danger comes into creating an entire worldview based of what the group tells you is the correct way to interpret those experiences and problems, rather than acknowledge the nuance in life. Attempt to deviate from this worldview, and you are shamed; indeed, you are part of "the problem." Therefore, we cling to this worldview for salvation, and it may help---for a while. But the reality of life existing in the gray areas always comes through in the end, and it will reward those who chose to learn through experience rather than those who build up walls around themselves.

Taking down these walls and overcoming our fears---rather than running away---is the most brave and difficult thing anyone can do. It is so fucking hard, but it is the only true way to grow. Cheers to everyone on this journey, for choosing to grow and embrace love, rather than cower away and choose fear. #nopill
