Sorry gonna vent, but if you got any advice that might help feel free to comment. . . . So today I woke up happy, got to work and started on a book I've been reading about the "ideal job for you". I've been working on it for so long and really just loved the whole process because it's making me work on myself. Then, on my ten minute break I hopped on Tiktok and the first video has just changed my whole fucking day.

The guy in the video(eic_thewarriorsway) responds to a comment about how when guys open up emotional, they basically just lose all the progress they have in the relationship. For some reason it's just ruminate in my head all night, and now all I can think is how basically guys have to be emotionless. I've thought about past events like death of loved ones or l when I've gotten too drunk and accidentally cried, and now I realize that after those events the women in my life that have been around during those events have in fact become distanced or stop associating with me after.

While doing my work book it asked what was my purpose in life, what did I want to leave behind for the next generation and honestly I can't think of anything, all i can think about is how essentially this world seems entirely transactional. Like love, empathy, good will is all bullshit and if I can't somehow figure out how to turn off who I am inside ill never make it farther than where I am now. Like if another person I know dies I just have to fucking stand there like a statue, but for some reason if they go through something like chipping a nail I have to listen to all seven stages of grief just because I'm a man.

All that's going through my head is that essentially if I lose my job or my health, if I stop making them laugh or get wrinkles, or if I go through any from of emotional turmoil and Crack even slightly then I'm done, she'll leave me, and I might as well just jump off a god damn bridge. Basically I'm only as worthwhile as what I can bring to the table.
