Thoughts on Gerbert Johnson?

I have two criteria for watching someone on youtube try to explain, discuss or teach a subject:

They must either be teaching something practical. E.g. change a car battery, or caulk a sink.

Or

They must have a relevant degree in the field and be currently respected within that field.

None of these redpill influencers fit those categories. Some of what they say may have merit. I'm fine missing out on those small nuggets of knowledge, because of all the bullshit they pack a long with it.

Sitting in front of a one sided lecture from a person who in controlling the entirety of the narrative they're giving you has the inherent risk of building biases. Biases that you won't "feel" yourself take in, but which can negatively effect you and which can be very difficult to rid yourself of.

No one is really learning anything from these discussions. Not on the whole. If it were in person and you could ask questions, maybe. If it was done with references and good faith, sure.

It's at best, not worth my time. More frighteningly it could get me to internalize biases I don't want, perspectives that could erode my already fragile happiness. Not worth it.

Or maybe I'm just a crotchety elder millennial that doesn't understand getting info and entertainment from you tube...

He's a really intelligent, funny, and handsome guy. My main gripe with him is him calling women bitches. I hate when people do that, it is so dehumanizing and sounds ugly and crude.

İ saw his videos about fear,it was good.And loneliness statics and how we need human connection is good too.On the other hand hes content actually shows the online dating failures etc. cause everyone looking for perfect in there while most of us are just avarages(btw thats completely ok cause what we make us good and together our values and caring for each other).So i know only that content of him,maybe some of guys could watch that videos and become sorry cause they think online dating is the only way for meeting new person.Generally he looks funny and questioning guy,btw i dont know his ideology or not,these are my prejudgements.
