What was the catalyst for your escape?

I was forced in as a woman. I went kicking and screaming but inevitably broke down and succumbed to the pressure after being gaslit by several men in my social network. My escape out was sneaking off to therapy and talking to professionals about all this, the 'group' most of my friends were parroting, etc.

They told me everything I needed to go to GTFO because I was being literally brainwashed by some of them. I noped out, moved across the country, and told everyone to eat a dick, and kicked them out of my life after they framed my poly relationship as cheating, and destroyed my life and career.

That confirmed to me that they had lost their minds and they were identical to cult followers who literally do the same thing in every cult in history; they don't let you leave without a fight. So I fought. I lost a lot: lost my career, lost my social groups, lost friends, lost some family, but it was worth it.

Since then, I've helped the ones who were in my life and wanted to leave, they got help, they got confirmation that none of this was healthy, worked on themselves with a professional, did the work, proved they wanted to keep me around, made the changes, have stuck with them, and are MUCH better men now. 🤍

that's interesting. can u share more details about their logic? why did they do that? are they doing the surgery and stuff or is it more like a new phase?
