Why do certain things trigger me so much?

They're trying to promote part of traditional values that you do not hold, but it shouldn't really be triggering. A lot of men still prefer this because they want a woman who is okay with staying at home, raising the children, cleaning the home, cooking the food, making the appointments, etc. while he goes to work and earns the family's money.

My main and I've been doing it this way for a long time and it just works out for us. Though I am polyamorous, I'm also not opposed to being this woman for another man as well. Some of us are raised that way, prefer it that way, and quite honestly struggle with finding those that hold those traditional values. It's just not for you and that's okay too.

You don't have to do it though.

I don't understand this topic... Red Pill doesn't want women to work, so men can provide... but they also promote not being with women who have the expectation you will provide... is it just a roundabout way to brainwash men in to forever alone?? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm confused.

Hmmm, you tell us. Logically, you know that many men and women like relationships with equal financial distribution and the “man provider” role is only for very traditional (usually religious) people. If you don’t want to be a provider, you logically know there are women out there who don’t want a “provider” because they appreciate their own financial independence and believe having two incomes is better than one (like my partner, who actually makes significantly more than me).

So, since you know this, what about those videos bothers you? Is it the blatant lying (my partner gets equally pissed at those videos because neither she nor any of her friends want a “provider” because they are all self-sufficient women and they see that as demeaning)? Or is it bringing up something else for you - family/cultural upbringing you disagree with? It makes you feel insecure about your own financial situation? Does it bring up concern about your choice to not want to be in a traditional relationship? Dig deep to see what’s going on and where those feelings are coming from because we cant read your mind.

Lastly, avoid those videos if they trigger you so much. Don’t press play. Hit skip immediately if you see it’s some PUA or RP shit. Start watching things that will make you feel happy and motivated instead. Our environment and what we spend our time and energy on affects the way we think and feel. You need to be more selective about the content you consume.

You don't have to provide: just stay single. The providing thing is for men who want a woman in patriarchy.
