Since finding this sub I have started to notice all the bullshit men think they can pull, and how SO many women put up with it, or even think this is normal.

Lately I have been really annoyed with my father. I am visiting my parents this weekend. My parents both work. My mom 4 days a week and my dad 5. When my mom comes home she puts her stuff down, grabs a bag and goes to the supermarket. Then she comes home and starts cooking. My dad often comes home while my mom is still cooking, and immediately starts loudly complaining that he is hungry. He goes to his PC and plays games. My mom will have dinner ready 10-20 minutes later, at which he reacts annoyed because he 'was in a really big game right now'. Then he comes to the dinner table where everyone else is already eating.

If he likes the food then he will just eat it (but with no thank you, no compliment to my mom). If it is something he doesn't like, he will get angry, say nothing and go back to his PC without eating with us, and my mother will make him something else (I am NOT making this up). Then my mom and I do the dishes, when I am not here she does it by herself.

This morning my dad was watching tv, and my mother was reading the newspaper in the kitchen. I was making breakfast in the kitchen. My dad shouts '(mother's name) PEEL AN ORANGE FOR ME'. I was livid. I shouted back 'are you too lazy to peel your own orange?'. At which my mother says I am overreacting and it is fine. She says 'later when you're in love you will understand'. (I am 22 and have a great boyfriend) and I say back 'well my husband will peel oranges for ME', to which my mother just laughs, and says 'sure'.

I feel like I am going crazy. My mother is the ultimate pickmeisha and I am starting to despise my dad.
