I've been lowkey flirting with a male friend the last couple weeks. We engaged in long conversations about how porn, prostitution and bdsm were destroying women's lives and transforming men into predators.

Then he did it.

He said he really liked Ben Shapiro despite being pro-choice. I am not american and Ben is not widely discussed here, but that didn't sit right with me. I went to look for information and surprisingly/s: he's an incel misogynist. Suddenly, everything clicked. Those weird behaviours this guy had? All explained. Here are the red flags I didn't pay attention to:

-major regret of past sexual experimentation;

-would casually comment how no girl is good enough for him;

-hasn't had sex in 5 years;

-looks up to his abusive daddy;

-wants to be more orthodox religiously;

-talks about his future kids like a controling father.

Dodged a MAJOR bullet. Thanks, FDS! This dude is going to be ghosted because this "friendship" brings me connection to more important people, but he will never again be in my dating pool.
