I'm from a similar culture (think South Asian/Middle Eastern). Though I'm an ex-Muslim, I see the Creepy ConvertsTM all the time - as well as misled female converts who think they're going to find a pious man who will provide for them. Spoiler: they super don't.
What I've noticed is that men from cultures like ours want modern perks (as much sex as they want before and during marriage, the freedom to be a loser) and traditional control (wife can never outpace them in any way). Basically all reward, no work.
That's why they spend time cultivating this idea that WE'RE delusional for wanting someone who can provide for us - women have become more independent over time, and men have not even attempted to catch up with us. There's so much more to be said here, but, seriously, amen.

Personally, if a guy wanted to pay all of my bills for me, in exchange for me having 2-3 kids, cleaning, and cooking, I'd be thrillled
You're a better woman than I. My hubs has to cook, clean, and pay. I only have the kids. He also does most of the care, when home. And I'm not even thrilled lol, just my standards and the deal. He's thrilled tho, and I think that's mainly what keeps me around. 🤘

”Gold digging” is just as natural as them chasing good looks. They have no right calling it shallow. Because if they hate pampering women who suffer and sacrifice everything for them, at least they'd provide the best possible life for the kids. This attraction to someone with status and skills to get the most resources is well justified as we want our offspring to get the best access to these resources, have enough food for their mouths, warm and cozy enough clothes and roof above their heads and potentially inherit these brawn or brain genetics to help them succeed in life like their father. It is 100% natural to be a ”gold digger” and to get compensation for your sacrifices and providing the best possible life for future generations.
A guy with no intention to crawl out of poverty is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to reproduction and has no business breeding and dragging his entire family into subpar life. Instead of complaining about ”gold diggers”, he should work on getting some gold to dig in the first place. They don't even compensate for not being able to provide enough resources in other areas, like taking 50% of the household chores and putting in more effort into pleasing his family otherwise. If you play poor games, don't expect luxury prizes.
Be proud of your ”gold digging” because it means you care about your and your kids' life and future.

They want someone who is low effort and doesn't talk back. In nature, the males bring gifts to help support their family and build their family. That's traditional. You're not a gold digger, you just want a provider. They're not able to provide for you, so they try to lower your standard and trick you into thinking what you want is unachievable because they don't want to make the effort. The nerve of these guys calling you a gold digger while they are working at Game Stop. Actual gold diggers wouldn't even look their way. lol. You have to have money in order to attract gold diggers in the first place. These men are just low effort and don't want to better themselves, just like you mentioned how they don't try to go to community college or through some other education after high school.
At the end of the day, if that's their definition of gold digger, be the biggest gold digger you can be. Your well-being comes first, and being able to provide the most opportunities for your family and children are important. Also, if you do like fancy luxurious items and bags, there is nothing wrong with that. Women should treat themselves to nice things. These guys are just miserable and want to drag you down with them.
