My friend (I swear it really is my friend and not me) 23f has been hooking up with this guy she works with. He’s already had about a million red flags including the fact that he’s still “talking to” his ex but last night was the last straw. As they were leaving work, he asked my friend to come to his place later and she said maybe, I’ll think about it. He then texts her later and says never mind, see you at work tomorrow. She’s obviously annoyed because he seems to just be using her but it gets even better when he texts her at 10:30pm “come” as if she’s just supposed to drop everything and drive an hour to his place now that he decided he wants to have sex with her. She was furious and also really hurt because he obviously sees her as nothing more than a sex object and she doesn’t know why she keeps going back to him. Our group chat tries to help and be supportive but it’s hard when we all live in different cities. I don’t know how to help her realize she doesn’t need male attention to validate her self worth. Plus they work together so it’s even more awkward for her. Any thoughts?
