What do you want out of him? A relationship or a hookup? College is a weird environment. I’d try and find out if he’s even looking for a relationship at this point in his life.

He sounds cool and so do you. I like that you're taking it slow and not fawning over him (he must be used to attention like that and it gets old really fast). Don't put too much importance on the date. It's just one event and you're only seeing a snapshot of him; far too little to base an opinion. Focus on building the connection. I would do things like:

Play a sport together, like squash. It accomplishes more for building connection than talking ever could.
See a horror movie or ride a rollercoaster. Something thrilling :-)
Be your best self and express it outwardly. Study like a beast, talk about your passions if the topic comes up. Play sports yourself. Dress elegantly if that's your thing; no need to be too fancy but a girl who looks after herself and her clothes has a certain kind of poise and charm that just makes her stand out.

Bottomline: have FUN. Be your fun cool self and see where it takes you. He should also become attracted to the authentic you, so dedicate yourself to discovering the best in yourself.
