How long do you think a decent guy would wait before asking to be exclusive?
And, if hypothetically you didn’t want to commit (as in you don’t want to stop seeing other guys), would you expect a decent guy to hang around and “fight” for your attention and affection (if he had already organised and taken you on dates and paid, consistent with contact, wants to see you a lot but doesn’t push, respects sexual boundaries, listens and respects feelings and communicates to work through issues, is obvious in his intent to commit to you, supportive of your goals, talks about his feelings etc.) OR would expect a decent guy to walk away, knowing that he’s worth more and worth being committed to?
Alternatively, if you asked for more time before committing to a relationship, because you needed to work through a few things with him and understand him more, but agreed to not see other people, and he was ok with giving you the time you needed, would you think that’s a good alternative?
Part of me thinks a decent guy would fight for a woman he thinks it’s worth it, hoping she would choose him. Part of me respects a guy for knowing his worth, and walking away if she won’t be exclusive.
What are your thoughts?
