Don’t be so hard on yourself. We have all been there and that’s why we gather here. To avoid getting fucked over or to help others not get fucked.

Here’s what you need to do.

Block and ghost this dude. There’s absolutely no point in remaining friends with someone that is not interested in you but you have feelings for. This will give you a sliver of hope. Everyday you’ll wonder if today’s the day he changes his mind. You need to get over him.
Unlearn all the lies he told you. It doesn’t matter what, when or why he doesn’t see a potential in you. That’s not your problem. You’re going to find someone that thinks you’re absolutely perfect for them. If he had true feelings for you, he’d date you. Period. No ifs or buts.
Find new hobbies, learn something new or hang out with friends to keep your mind off this guy. The more free time you have to think about this dude, the harder it will be to move on.

I know it all seems hard but you can do this. If you’re motivated enough, you’ll get over him in no time. There’s 7 billion people out there. Every second you spend on this dude is time you won’t give to finding someone that is crazy about you.

Blocking his number won’t be enough if you have self-esteem issues. You need to block and delete EVERY trace of him so you won’t be tempted to contact him again. Self-respect and self-love first, romantic partners comes after that! He will use and dispose of you because he knows he is in control. Take control of yourself back and don’t allow anyone to treat you like that again!

You’re literally putting a stranger on a pedestal. He has done NOTHING to deserve your attention and time. He will never appreciate or respect you, he has told you straight up that he does not value you. He might text you a bit when bored, but you’re the last priority. You know the answer - block and delete.
