6 hit hard. Most of our three year relationship was on IG DM’s. I tried moving the conversation to text but it didn’t work out. I also noticed through a screen recording that he ended up muting me on dms lmao. When I asked why, he said it’s because we talk a lot on there and he didn’t want the notification sound to go off. So put your sound off mf lol... he then had the audacity to say that he mutes other groups too. I’m not a group, I’m your girlfriend dumb ass lol. Basically trying to make me feel better about his bs. When i tried asking him to call and FaceTime, it turned into an argument.

7- the highly curated social media, the staging events/situations for pics, the getting mad if things didn’t work out exactly how he wanted and he could get “the” pic. A grown ass man in his 40s. The line for me was when he had a birthday party for his dog, who was turning 15. After a while the poor thing puked, I brought him inside and got him comfortable in his dog bed with water close by in a cool room - he started complaining that he had wanted to get a pic of the dog in a birthday crown with a piece of cake. I said absolutely not, the dog was sick, just leave him alone. I had to get on a work call, and after an hour when I came out, the poor fucking dog is back out in the sun, and this asshole is bragging to me that he did it anyway - even going so far to put some frosting near the dogs mouth because surprise surprise the dog didn’t want a piece of cake. That night I told him I would never have kids with him because of how he acted, and he started freaking out 🙄 Edit for accidental hashtag bolding!

The too wholesome is so true. They can literally be abusers yet hide behind some kind quote to come off as a nice person.
