Because they benefit immensely from this. The statistics show that women do a disproportionate amount of housework (and childcare) even when they're working the same number of hours outside the home as their supposed partner. Even women who earn a higher income do more housework.
That translates into a lot more free time for men. It's intentional. They know what they're doing.

I feel this. My ex used for example sponges in the kitchen I told him countless of times were for cleaning the toilet/bathroom. He cleaned his ashtray in the same water with the dishes. He used the same cleaner for the floor thousands of times before washing the cleaner itself and I felt like ge just swiped the dirt from one plaxe to another. I told him but he got mad at me. He didn't care so I started to do everything myself. But I was secretly pissed he was too dumb to clean and help me doing housework.

imo, it's either clean or it's not clean, half-assed or actually done. LVM have created a false reality in which there are different levels of clean. And I'm not talking clutter, I'm talking stuff like the bathroom sink. There's only one version of a clean bathroom sink. Yet they'll always pull some, "Sorry I don't clean it to your standards!" shit.

Right?! My mom was such a clean freak while I was growing up, but it gave me standards for my cleanliness. I like things to be clean the way I clean, anything less than that means it’s still dirty 🤦🏻♀️

I used to fold and put away my ex lvm’s laundry until I decided to stop. Not my problem if he crumpled his clothes when he put them away. We used to work at the same place and my response would be: he’s a grown ass man who does his own laundry. Not my chair, not my problem!

I feel this so deeply my partner doesn’t clean to the level I like so we just compromised and got someone to come twice a month and I’ve just learned to let some stuff go tbh because I refused to that woman who does all the chores while the guy does nothing

I don't get this though? Like, teach the man to do it to your standard? We don't have time to be going over everything they do. It's either clean or it's not clean. And if it's only clean when I do it then he needs to up his game cause I'm not gonna live in filth
