Need advice on building confidence/getting over insecurities about my looks

I just kept looking in the mirror and telling myself that I’m pretty. I started taking care of my skin and telling myself that I’m worth it. Once you accept that you can’t change your face (unless you can afford surgery) you have to accept that it’s ok to be you and/or different. Just because you don’t conform to beauty “standards” doesn’t mean you’re worthless.

Australia's an interesting niche of its own. Having grown up elsewhere and then go to study in Australia I look at the social dynamics from a third perspective. It seems like the more 'ideal' girl is the tall, blond with big boobs but still thin.

How much is this affecting your confidence? If you really can't deal with it, you could consider moving countries (or at least to more urbane areas if you don't live in Sydney or Melbourne already).
