The most important thing for me in a man is that he can think critically. So I always ask for his taste in books/movies and even music because that’s a pretty good indicator if he has the type of intelligence I’m looking for.

The vast majority of men fail at that initial stage which saves me time. The next step is, does he make me laugh? But if they were to pass, that’s when I would get into the basics like what does he do? is he ambitious? how much of a misogynist is he? what are his flaws and are they a deal breaker for me?

If you have a really good idea of exactly the type of man you want to date, this strategy saves you more time than trying to establish the basics first.

If you still aren’t too sure and are open to more types, that’s when you are at the highest risk of meeting shitty men. Not knowing is okay though, we all start there! At that point it’s important you establish your standards and establish the basic things a man should have to meet your standards and refuse to date anyone who doesn’t.

What work he does. Where he lives. Start a conversation around these topics. You will get a good idea of where he stands at present in his career and if he owns his own property or lives on rent.
