Context: I have C-PTSD from toxic parenting, and most likely ADHD. These manifest largely in that I fail to remember way too much stuff, life blurs together, I minimize my feelings, etc. And it has all led me to the following:
Due to a recent revelation and subsequent breaking up with my now-ex over this past weekend, I realized I would've known to leave sooner if I did something akin to a "mood tracker" in bullet-journals, but specifically relating to my relationship. Sadly, it took me seeing a "One year ago" picture from facebook to conenct the fact that I was feeling the same uncertainty and unhappiness as I did a year ago.
So, for example, the tracker would look like this:
Monday- Feeling great! confident about future
Tuesday-Feeling content
Wednesday - "
Thursday - Eeeeeh things are not great now
Friday - Yeah this sucks
Saturday - Sucks
Sunday- Sucks
And so on, so forth, for months going forward.
Has anyone tried anything like this before? I feel this might be useful to folks who constantly second guess themselves due to memory issues, but maybe there is a better way to do it! Thanks.
