I’ve noticed the guy I’m seeing becomes very attentive when I’m clearly having a bad day. I tend to disengage if I’m not happy. So I won’t be as chipper when he calls, or I’ll read his text and not answer. And I’m not doing that because of his treatment, there’s other things in my life bothering me that makes me push ppl away.

But he always becomes more attentive. Tells me his schedule for the day, texts more, says he misses me more.

Is that just him being sensitive and attentive to cheer me up? Or is it some kind of low value reaction to me?

Because sometimes it feels like when I’m in a good mood, he’s less attentive. He doesn’t preemptively tell me he’s busy at a certain time when we usually talk. He doesn’t always say he misses me (although saying it all the time becomes meaningless anyway). He typically takes longer to text.

He sent me a selfie today which he doesn’t do often.

Idk. I prob act differently toward him when I notice he’s in a bad mood or not. So it’s hard for me to tell.

Thoughts?
