I was never a 'pick me' girl but i defiantly liked someone who didn't want a relationship and led me on for months and i thought i'll somehow manage to make him like me/want a relationship with me. Never again.

I read somewhere on Reddit comments once " you can't love someone into loving you" it was the wake up call / slap in the face I needed. Because even though I told myself I wasn't going to change to try and get him to love me I had certainly tried to love him into it. Like I really thought if I was understanding and created a safe and loving environment somehow that was going to change his mind. Now saying it out loud I realize how delusional I was. Sigh.
