Hi everyone

I'm new to this subreddit, but so far it's been an eye opener. I'd really value your opinion on the situation I'm currently in.

To make a long story short, I was dating this guy for about three months. I really liked him, he made me feel very desired after another painful relationship where that hadn't been the case, but also felt like we weren't really progressing - it was like he just never really opened up to me in any meaningful way, and I didn't feel like he prioritised me. I tried to end things after about two months, but he talked me into giving it another shot by saying he'd do better and that he really liked me. Then, right after valentines day, he ended things over text. Even dignifying a breakup text with a response was my first mistake.

I was really stupid and suggested that we could be friends with benefits, because I couldn't handle the prospect of being completely alone again. I guess a part of me thought that would eventually make him fall in love with me. We met up one time, fooled around, talked boundaries, and after that he's ghosted me completely. It's been about a month since then.

I feel stupid and pathethic, and really hurt that he took advantage of the arrangement I suggested just to come over one last time and then ghost me. It angers me that he doesn't have any respect for me after we spent three months trying to build a connection with each other.

My question is, what do I do now? Considering it's been a month, I know better than to hope for kind of decency from him. But I can't figure out if I should block him. My friends keep telling me it's going to make me look petty and crazy, but I also feel like NOT blocking him makes it seem like I'm still available to him and just waiting around. Help a fool out please.
