FDS women are self sufficient women, we are not aiming to become tradwives. The philosophy here is actually based on radical feminist principles ie. protecting women from being exploited for their sexual and reproductive capacities. Although we may align with conservative values in superficial ways our reasons for doing so are VERY, VERY different.

I am not a conservative Catholic woman, but I do agree with the overarching point of this article. I’ve been in a similar situation, and wish I had recognized these red flags and knew about the cycle of abuse back then. The information is relevant, just take it with a grain of salt if you’re not religious etc. That life may not be for me, but hey, I’m all about sisters being informed and protecting themselves, no matter how we each choose to live.
