I wish I was never born a woman specially as WOC. Reasons:

  1. Your family doesn't desire you, everyone was hoping me to be a boy. (Thankfully my parents brought me up with lot of care & love which I am grateful for but other relatives not so much)
  2. School is harsh on girls, if you are not a popular fit girl no one would be your friend , every girl I knew watched those fancy Disney fairy tales or teenage shows like Hannah Montana and were pickmeishas for guys & popular girls.
  3. Somehow you pass school ,get into university, work hard to get a good STEM career only to be not taken seriously at work and accept pay gap.
  4. No matter how hard you work or how intelligent you are, ultimately a man values you only for your beauty. All successful guys I know desire a white/asian woman only and their mentality: since they have climbed higher ,have high incomes they deserve it! Your success/intelligence/income/personality doesn't matter if you are not white/asian female and your life is incomplete without marriage.
  5. Have no expectations and lower your standards. Basically if you are in your mid twenties , if you want to settle down you need to date/marry guys in thirties since twenties guys still wants to have fun. But god forbid if a woman has her fun, she is labelled as "slut" , "for streets" or even crosses thirties something is wrong with her.
  6. Oh meanwhile be careful all the time in public, dress conservatively so that you stay away from harm.
  7. Even after marriage the struggle isn't over yet! Is there any hope for women on this planet? Sigh...

Note: No hatred for any women of any race just taking this rant out from my chest. Just glad this subreddit exists!
