What does commitment mean to you?

So in my experience, here are some things I notice when a man commits:

- He is generous with his time, money, and energy with you. By committing he is investing in the relationship, thus he will invest his resources.

- He is thoughtful and serious about making future plans with you, be it a date or an event or career/location/life aspirations. He takes your likes, dislikes and values seriously when having such conversations.

- He is consistently looking for ways to enhance and grow the relationship. It could be doing new experiences together or supporting you in your life.

- He is responsive to you and your needs.

- He includes you in many aspects of his life.

- He clearly and unequivocally states and shows that he is committed to you.

Note that all the points above, must be done consistently over a period of time.

Generally speaking, when a man has committed to you, you might feel a sense of safety and security within the relationship. If you feel any uncertainty on where he stands, then that could be an indicator that he isn't solid in his commitment.

If you agree to be exclusive. Like if he literally says “let’s not see other people” or “I am not seeing other people anymore”
