I'm a bisexual woman, and these days I noticed I'm very much in love with my female friend. So I was planning to ask her out today, but I did it yesterday. And I almost did a very trashy thing: ask her out in front of our friends.

We were talking about my ex bf, and suddenly I felt the need to talk about my current crush because well, that's what friends are for lol, talking about your private life and stuff. I was like "I'm gonna ask her out and if she agrees, I'll tell you guys her name".

But then I realised: that's absolutely not a good move. Imagine being asked out in front of your friends?? And being asked out by your friend. It must be the most uncomfortable situation. Like when men ask women on marriage in front of a crowd. They feel pressured to say yes and don't wanna disappoint anybody.

So, I fixed that mistake by asking her on private and not telling my friends who's my crush. I felt way more relieved. Btw, she said no lol. So it would be both uncomfortable for me and her if I had asked her out in public. Lesson learned.
