Why do I always get broken up with over a text?

Men are cowards, point blank. They would rather lie through their teeth by hiding behind a phone screen fabricating lies on why “this isn’t working out anymore”, as opposed to having an adult conversation in person about ending things. They clearly have communication issues that would trickle into other aspects of the relationship later on down the line.

I’m sorry to hear you went through that. But that does sound like LVM behaviour and the trash took itself out so you can’t be too mad about it.

My ex-boyfriend broke up with me 2 months ago over text. He had known me 16 years and then we dated for over a year (so 17 years total). He sent me a long text and then completely blocked me in every possible way - number, social media, everything. This was in spite of having at least 10 mutual friends as well.

They're just straight up cowards. Too afraid to communicate and have adult conversations.

This reminds me of a conversation my ex and I had. We talked about past relationships and I mentioned it was okay to end a relationship but it should be done in the most respectful way. I had said breaking up through text was the cowards way out and that in the event we ever break up, we should respect each other and have a conversation outside text.

Wellllll guess how he ended the relationship. Through a text. It was a lesson for me to never tell guys what upsets you the most
