Would you date while still chubby?

Personally, I avoid actively dating whenever I am heavier than I would like to be. This is purely for my own mental health.

In the past, whenever I tried dating while chubby, I find that most men either (at best) ignore me or (at worst) actively bully and devalue me or (even worse) pretend to be nice only to ghost immediately after using me for sex.

Over time, this grinding away at my self esteem creates a scarcity mindset which is something to be mindful about and should be avoided.

Of course, a HVM is not the sort of person who would mistreat a woman because she's chubby, but he may not be attracted to her. Even then, the possibility that I will find one of those (extremely rare) HVM who are into chubby women simply isn't a worthwhile tradeoff given that I am exposing myself to constant attacks on my value as a human being by LVMs.

My recommendation is to focus on self improvement and to give yourself the mental space necessary to have a healthy psyche.

Even a HVM who won’t view you solely as a hunk of meat will almost certainly prefer a thin woman. There has to be mutual sexual attraction before a high value relationship can develop.

As much as I am sad to admit this, it has been my honest observation among my friends and family that looks are a huuuuge part of securing HVM commitment.
